These images show the original sculpture of our future canine simulator. It has been sculpted on an actual canine skeleton to ensure accuracy of the anatomy, positioning of joints, and allows us to cast the bones for a radiology limb model in future.
The intent of the sculpture was to be a mid sized and somewhat "generic" canine breed, with a normal chest shape.
Some of the functionality we would like to incorporate are:
Various intubation techniques
male and female catheterization
bandaging limb(s)
limb venipuncture
thoracentesis
radiology limb(s)
restraint training
epidural
incorporate spay/neuter function
ear exams
teeth mouths exams
The actual canine skull and lower jaw were incorporated into the sculpture as well once again for accuracy.
This image shows the splayed toes to allow bandaging training.
